MJ's Floral

Owner and floral designer of MJ’s Floral – a small business that developed from a passion for floral design and years of experience working at flower shops, and helping customers express their emotions through flowers. Recently, she decided to branch out on her own and started her own business with the help of her family and friends. 

She started in the industry early in her teen years where she worked as a cashier at a flower shop throughout high school. Working there gave her exposure to the world of floral design and it was there that she found her passion. 

Over the years, family and friends always encouraged her to open her own shop and have offered to invest in her dreams, but she was reluctant because she did not have the courage or confidence in her abilities, she viewed herself as still a student of the craft. 

She left the industry for a corporate job, but she never abandoned her passion. She continued creating arrangements for family and friends for holidays, events and special occasions. Eventually, she found herself back working part time for a local flower shop where she refined her craft and gained more confidence in her abilities. Even with her years of experience, she prides herself on carrying the student mentality with her as she continues to push her designs forward.

At the end of 2021, Marie Joy gathered her courage, ignored her doubts and decided to pursue her passion full time. MJ’s Florals is a thank you letter to all the friends and family who recognized her passion, abilities and continued to encourage her to strike out on her own.

MJ’s Florals is a female owned small business, that runs and operates from her home. Marie Joy sources all the flowers and displays herself and plans, designs and creates each arrangement ensuring that every order is made with love and passion.
